Hard To Find BLENKO “West Virginia 1985 Flood Recovery” Plate - Crystal

This Blenko plate was made to commemorate and memorialize the flood recovery efforts from the 1985, which devastated much of West Virginia. The plate features the outline of the state in the middle with the words “In Appreciation - WV - 1985 Flood Recovery” surrounding.
These plates were never in a catalog and were a special order item. They are hard to find. The design is somewhat similar to the cheese and cake plates in the “Chips & Dips &” line (screen shots from 1978 catalog included in pictures). The size of this plate is about 10”, like the cheese plate. The top of the plate is smooth; the design is made on the back side of the plate.
