    Description

Here is a real photo postcard showing a main street in early Harrison Idaho. There are a few businesses on both sides of the dirt street. An ice cream shop, a grocery store, and a hotel. No signs are very easy to read. Harrison’s colorful history mirrors that of North Idaho itself. The gold stampede came through in the 1880s, and the Village of Harrison was incorporated in 1899; it grew to be the largest city in Kootenai County in its heyday. Used and postmarked Harrison Oct 9, 1910. Two pin holes along the top edge. Edge wear. See scans.
